I got the opportunity to interview Leonardo Da Vinci at the Tri-City Valley Women’s Network about Creativity.
So many people these days are trying to reach people online and it’s getting very competitive. We all want to stand-out and not be cliché.
Leonardo assured us that we can be creative if we find something we have a passion for. When in a slump some advice he gave was to take a break, go for a walk, visit a new place, read a book and look at other art. The main thing is to find a way to look at your situation from a new perspective.
Tips on How We Can Be More Creative in Our Work
- Take in a whole bunch of different things like reading different blogs and watching videos on TED Talks. Diversity inspires creativity. Talk to different people too!
- Learn to quiet your mind. Keep worries out of your head by writing them down. When your head is free from stress you have more room to think and create.
- Write down your ideas. Keep notes on your smartphone and by your bed. Have a folder for ideas.
- Find a group of people you can share ideas with freely and not critique. Form a brainstorming group.
- Try to notice what makes you creative and re-create those moments so you can get in the zone quickly when you need to.
- Try to be creative. Do not be afraid to step outside the box and try something different. I strongly believe we are all born creative. Give it a try!
Leonardo Da Vinci is one of my puppets from the Crazy 4 Math Show and my Googol Power Math Series.
He has his own song on YouTube. Music and Singing is by my good friend David Pavane.
